Required Documents for the International Exchange Program at Unisul

Before arriving to Brazil, the students must:

  • Apply for the student visa in a Brazilian Embassy or Consulate at your home country;
  • Hire an International Health Insurance;
  • Inform our office your date of arrival (date, time, flight number).

Admissions deadline for the registration at Unisul

Cost of living in Florianópolis

Minimum expenses:

  • International Health Insurance;
  • International Air Ticket;
  • Student Visa;
  • Local Transportation: approximately R$ 80,00;
  • Books: usually the students are not required to buy books, they can use the books from our libraries or take photocopies from the material provided by the professor. Approximately R$ 10,00 per month in photocopies;
  • Food: students can eat at the university’s cafeteria or at the restaurants on the surrounding area. Approximately R$ 10,00 per meal;
  • General expenses at the supermarket: approximately R$ 250,00 per month;
  • Accommodation: Unisul does not have a student dormitory. The students may choose between: share an apartment with other students: approximately from R$ 400,00 - R$ 600,00 per month rent apartment individually: approximately from 1.000,00 - 1.300,00 per month;
  • Federal Police Registration: after the students arrive, they are required to register at the Federal Police. The taxes that must be paid are: Registration - R$ 64,58 e ID - R$ 124,23.
